The Chicks (10-4, 5-3 4A-3) led 22-19 at the half after jumping out to a seven-point lead in the first quarter. Blytheville led 31-27 heading into the final quarter. Teddy Washington led the way for the Chickasaws with 14 points. Johnny Anderson chipped in 11 points and Winston Peace added nine points. “Gritty performance on the road, lost our poise for a second but were able to regroup & hold on,” Blytheville head coach McKenzie Pierce wrote on his Facebook page. “Have to continue to grow & get better. Never satisfied.” The Chicks will host the Batesville SouthSide Rebels Friday night.
